Fractional CIO – experienced IT leadership, part-time
Many companies need a CIO's experience but not a full-time hire. As your fractional CIO I am part of your leadership on a part-time basis – from a few hours a month to a couple of days a week – providing strategic direction, better decisions and control of IT and suppliers.

When a fractional CIO makes sense
- The company has no CIO and IT is handled by finance, the CEO or a supplier
- You have an IT manager who needs an experienced sounding board
- Important decisions on systems, investments or outsourcing are coming up
- Cybersecurity, NIS2 and GDPR requirements need to be handled
- You are growing and IT needs to keep up
What I do
- IT strategy and a roadmap linked to business goals
- Take part in executive team meetings and prepare board material
- Prioritise investments and follow up the budget
- Procurement, contracts and supplier management
- Cybersecurity, NIS2, GDPR and business continuity
- Support and coaching for your existing IT manager
Format
- Commitment: From a few hours a month to 1–2 days a week
- Agreement: Ongoing, normally a fixed monthly fee
- Start: Often with a short current-state assessment
Experience
I have sat on executive teams for more than ten years and presented IT strategy, risks and investments to boards and owners several times a year.
